Imagine
User-Preferences for an augumented-reality(AR) client
Problem
To design preferences for a message tagging mechanism on a visor client operating in a new medium - "Augmented Reality"
Concept
Realizing that a visor exists in a 3-D space and in an information network, we challenged the conventional menu system to organize choices and the conventional modes to compartmentalize scenarios of use. We used the strength of the medium to come up with a concept for personalization which makes the preferences invisible. Just imagine!
Process
Worked in a multi-disciplinary team of four to storyboard various scenarios of use (walker, rider, traveller). To understand the new medium, we used low-fidelity prototypes for concept exploration. To see how users respond to information overload on-the-go, we used flash prototypes.
